Searching Tenders

The Tenders Gazette has a very flexible search facility, so many different people can find the Tenders they are interested in.  This page should give you a few hints at how to search the Tenders Gazette.

There are several ways of selecting a Tender based on the Region, City, Category, Date the Tender is due and the Date the Tender was listed.  Not all Tenders will relate to a specific city, and those that don't will have the city listed as NA (Not Applicable).

What do the pull-down lists do?

By combining the settings for the following pull-downs and text entry you can eliminate the Tenders you have no use for.

Type:

CurrentRecently addedExpiring soonExpired

This pull-down allows you to select which group of Tenders you wish to view described as follows

Current	All Tenders which have not passed their due date
Recently Added	Tenders that have been added to our lists in the last 7 days including today Eg if today was Monday it would list from last Tuesday through to today.
Expiring Soon	Tenders that are due from today to 6 days forward
Expired	Tenders that have passed their due date by 6 days

in Category:

All Government Supplies & Services Motor Vehicles North Island Building North Island Engineering Sales - Machinery Sales & Leases - Buildings South Island Building South Island Engineering Supplies & Services

This allows you to select a specific category of Tender, filtering out all the other Tenders from the display.  Selecting All will not filter by category.  If there are no Tenders in a category, then the category will not be listed in the pull-down.

in Region:

All AUCKLAND BAY OF PLENTY CANTERBURY CENTRAL NORTH ISLAND EAST COAST MANAWATU MARLBOROUGH NELSON NORTHLAND OTAGO SOUTHLAND TARANAKI WAIKATO WAIRARAPA WELLINGTON WEST COAST

The 'in Region:' pull-down allows you to restrict the Tenders displayed to ones in a selected  region.  If there are no Tenders in a region then the region will not be listed.

in City:

You can display Tenders for a city by selecting it here.  If there are no Tenders in a City then it will not appear in this list.  Select All to display Tenders from any city.  Note:  The city labelled NA means Not Applicable, the tender does not relate to a city.

look for

This text entry box allows you to enter any text that you want to 'look for' in a Tender.  The Tender must have this text before it will be displayed.  It ignores uppercase and lowercase, eg Garage will match garage and GARAGE etc.

Leave this text entry box empty to list all Tenders.

Clicking a Search button will activate the search.  It will take the settings from the pull-down menus and text entry box, and search the Tenders Gazette for Tenders that match your settings.  The matching Tenders will then be displayed on your screen.   It will display 'No matching tenders found' if it could not find any that match.
